Terms & Conditions

Last updated July 2026 · SheHaven Limited · United Kingdom

SheHaven is a safety companion, not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger call 999. Sisters help sisters, but only the emergency services can send help.

Who these terms are between

These terms are the agreement between you and SheHaven Limited. By creating an account, or by continuing to use the app, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please stop using SheHaven and delete your account.

Who can join

SheHaven is strictly for women aged 18 and over. Every member is gently verified by our team. Verification confirms a member is a woman aged 18+ — it does not vouch for anyone's character or intentions. You must give accurate details, use one account only, and never let anyone else use your account.

Mandatory safety training

Before the app unlocks, every sister completes a short familiarisation guide and ticks the acknowledgement that SheHaven is not a replacement for 999. This applies to everyone, including sisters who joined before the training existed — it is a one-off, takes about a minute, and never appears again once it is recorded.

We keep a record of your completion on your account (the date, the version of the training and your acknowledgement) and you can download your certificate from your profile at any time. If we materially change how the safety features work, we may publish a new training version and ask you to complete it once more.

Not an emergency service

Sister Signals, Monitor Me, live tracking and Safe Haven suggestions are community tools. They depend on your phone, your battery, your signal and on other sisters being available. We do not promise that any signal will be seen, answered or answered in time. Always call 999 first in an emergency.

Using Sister Signal, Monitor Me and Safe Havens

  • Only raise a Sister Signal when you genuinely feel unsafe. Practice mode exists so you can rehearse without alerting anyone.
  • Deliberate false alarms, prank signals or repeated misuse will result in the account being removed.
  • Safe Haven suggestions are best-effort. Opening hours, staffing and willingness to help can change without notice.
  • If you respond to another sister's signal you do so voluntarily and at your own risk. Never put yourself in danger.

Meeting people and adding friends

Sisters can only be added by scanning each other's QR code in person. You decide who to swap codes with, who to share your location with and who to meet. SheHaven cannot guarantee the safety, honesty or intentions of any member, even a verified one.

Your conduct

Be kind. Offensive, racist, homophobic, discriminatory, harassing or threatening behaviour — in reviews, chat or groups — results in removal of the content and deletion of the account. No refund is given where a paid subscription is ended for this reason. Do not post anyone else's personal information, and do not use SheHaven for commercial promotion without our written agreement.

Venue ratings, reviews and moderation

Venue information is rated and contributed by sisters. Ratings are the opinion of the individual who left them and SheHaven does not endorse any venue, business or location. We may edit, hide or remove content, and we may correct or remove venue listings, to keep the directory accurate and the community safe.

Bookings and third parties

Bookings, reservations, pricing and availability are handled entirely by venues or third-party providers. When you tap a booking link you leave SheHaven and their terms apply. We are not a party to that booking and are not responsible for it. Maps, transport data and crime insights come from third-party sources and may be incomplete or out of date.

Sister Pro subscription

Sister Pro is £4.99 per month, billed monthly through Stripe, and renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your profile; cancellation stops the next payment and your Pro features continue until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate part months. If we change the price we will tell you before the change takes effect. Statutory cancellation rights, where they apply, are unaffected.

Availability and changes

We work hard to keep SheHaven running, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service. Features may change, be added or be withdrawn as the app evolves. We may suspend or end access to an account that breaks these terms or puts other sisters at risk.

Your account and ending it

You can delete your account at any time from your profile. Deletion removes your profile, friendships, alerts, encrypted photos, group memberships, push tokens and your Stripe customer link, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of liability

SheHaven is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SheHaven Limited is not liable for any loss, injury or harm arising from your use of the app, from any interaction with venues, friends or other members, or from any failure or delay of a signal, notification or location update. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as SheHaven grows. The "Last updated" date at the top will change, and for material changes we will let affected members know by email or in the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, unless the law of your home country gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
